Dr. Mrs. Georgina Ansong

I have become so keen in writing and jotting things, for the word of God inspires us to keep record and run with every vision that we have because in the end it will speak. From Bachelors' degree to PhD my thesis has been to promote the interest of women and young girls. After working with GCB Bank for over 35 years, I moved to work with Beautiful Creations Company Limited --- a one stop shop for hospital supplies. There, I saw these beautiful young ladies with their signature head pans taking shade at the compound of the company. I became so interested in their stories and started engaging them in conversation. The story of the girls was popularly known in Ghana as Kayayei, which started about 3 decades ago. Yet, no concrete strategy has been able to curb the menace. These young ladies migrate from the north to the south to search greener pastures, but end up becoming vulnerable to all forms of social vises such as rape, robbery, attacks, and early pregnancies among others. This book addresses the concerns of these girls and how to collaborate with stakeholders to address this menace. It is a must read book for individuals, schools, homes, offices among others. Dr. Mrs Georgina Ansong intends to use the proceeds of the sale of the book to help some structures in place to curb this menace.
